Impact on the Freshman Class
All of these memorials are going to impact the incoming freshman class of 2016 that attend the University of Kentucky. Memorial Hall is a focal point that will be on almost everything they will receive from campus. The image of the clock tower will become imprinted in their brain. It will also serve as a classroom building to a lot of them. Not only will the students attend classes in Memorial Hall but also they will associate Memorial Hall as a staple building on campus. They will associate the memorial as a significant figure in their newfound culture and will appreciate the ones being memorialized in the building. The Smiley Pete Memorial will impact the incoming freshman if they get involved outside of campus and try to diversify the influences in their life. Downtown is full of many very interesting hidden secrets and it is a great idea as a freshman to learn all aspects of not only the college campus but its surroundings as well. The Patterson Office Tower will serve as a significant building for incoming freshman. Its size and placement alone will educate the students on the great impact that James Patterson had on this campus. The Whitfield Stump aids in enriching the university's campus with the history of Kentucky. The stump helps create a historical atmosphere that is completely unique to the Unversity of Kentucky's campus. All of these memorials are going to be used in order to educate the incoming freshman of the history surrounding their new home. The Square will impact the incoming freshman class of the University of Kentucky by providing cool entertainment opportunities outside of campus. If the freshmen decide to go out and explore the city surrounding campus The Square will provide multiple different options for entertainment.
